1. Battle of Santa Rosa Island in Dade City - February 27-28, 2021.

The Battle of Santa Rosa Island. The public is invited to tour the authentic confederate and union camps; reenactors are in character. Get a glimpse of how they lived and what it was like during the Civil War. Traditional period craft demonstrations, Ladies period fashion show, Live Music, Church Service on Sunday Morning All museum buildings will be open, docents/guides in period clothing in most buildings. Skirmishes will emerge from the village and battles will take place at 2:00 p.m. both days (Saturday and Sunday) Please note that this is a "cash only" event.


2. 21st Annual Raid on Fort Pierce - March 12-14, 2021.

It is with Great Honor that we again present the Raid on Fort Pierce Civil War Reenactment and Living history. The Fort Pierce Camp Sons of Confederate Veterans, Pvt George W. Thomas, Camp 1595, and

the 12th Brigade Col Lang's Defenders, takes pride in presenting the rich history and diversity of Florida in the 1860s and forward. The 41 Soldiers along the Treasure Coast that are interred as our camp namesake, they are visited every year and honored as soldiers. These brave men are veterans of one of the most troubling times in American History. This year we honor our veterans of this horrible war that pitted families some against each other with our living history and battle. Our simple cobbler George W. Thomas a resident after the war moved here and worked until his 96 years in his shop by the railroad tracks. Please come and help us celebrate Florida and our pioneers. School day is on Friday. Battles are at 1:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Ladies’ Tea is at 11:00 am, Saturday, and a Grand Bon Fire Frolic will be held in the Confederate Camp at 7:30 Saturday evening. If you play a musical instrument, feel free to bring it to the Frolic. We need cavalry for the school day, and artillery is welcome. The Ladies of the Order of Confederate Rose will be cooking dinner for school day participants on Friday evening, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and supper on Saturday evening. There will be a bounty for the first Union and Confederate artillery pieces registered. Firewood, water, and hay provided. Location/Directions: Savannah Recreational Area, 1400 East Midway Road in Fort Pierce, FL 34982. From I-9exit #126 (Midway Road, SR712) go east about 5.5 miles to the Savannas Recreational Area. The park will be on the left (north) side of the road. Authentic and Modern camping for soldiers and civilian Reenactors are free. There is a fee for modern tent or RV camping with hookups ie Electrical, Sewage, and Etc. Call early,

middle of season space is limited. Contact The Savannas Park at (772) 464-7855 for reservations Prices and information. Hot water showers, laundry, and bathrooms are available.

4. Battle of Townsends Plantation at Mt. Dora - April 9-11, 2021.

The Battle of Townsend's Plantation is a fictional civil war battle that is re-enacted on the grounds of the Renninger's Twin Markets in Mount Dora.


The event is sponsored by Attorney Clay Townsend. The Battle of Townsend’s Plantation started over 25 years ago in Apopka with other Civil War buffs on the grounds of Townsend’s Plantation, a historic restaurant mansion he owned and operated in the 1980s. The structure is now owned by the city of Apopka. The battle now takes place on over 100 acres behind the Renninger's Twin Market and Antique Mall. The Battle of Townsend's Plantation is the host event for the 37th Alabama Regiment Co. H.


The event features live Civil War re-enactments, living history exhibits, folk music, weaponry demonstration, authentic camps and sutlers, full scale artillery, cavalry and soldiers in period dress and weaponry, Civil War period-dress-required ball and more.
